Join us for a one-night auction showcasing talented artists from Calgary, who are creating and painting ceramics inspired by the Year of the Dragon.
Our goal is to raise funds for activities in Calgary's Historic Chinatown. The funds will support community programs such as movie nights, volunteer initiatives, tours, murals, and other projects aimed at attracting more visitors to Chinatown. We want more people to learn about its 130-year history and celebrate it as the valuable cultural asset that it is.
Friends of Chinatown is a program arm of Volly, a registered non-profit organization established in 2018 that promotes volunteering, initiates social enterprises, and hosts events. The goal of Friends of Chinatown is to provide historical tours, promote Chinatown organizations and businesses, and host enjoyable events to raise awareness.
We're providing snacks, a cash bar hosted by Sugar Water, and music curated and produced by HERO for a fantastic evening celebrating Calgary's artists, community, and culture. Plus, you might leave with an amazing ceramic piece by one of our talented artists!
Head over to our live auction on until October 5th to purchase one-of-a-kind ceramics and/or make a donation to support this cause here.
And follow us and Friends of Chinatown on Instagram for more event info.
